 | Vancouver Trades Dugan for Birmingham's Brown Saturday, October 26th, 1996: The Vancouver Mounties have finalized a deal with the Birmingham Bandits for the services of 35-year-old first baseman Chris Brown. In exchange, the Bandits will receive 33-year-old first baseman Jimmy Dugan and $3,000,000 in cash. Dugan has a career .251 batting average and .322 on-base percentage. He has recorded 1743 hits with 477 doubles, 11 triples, 401 homers, 1238 RBIs and scored 1048 runs since coming into the league. Over his career Brown has batted .268 and collected 1233 hits, 190 home runs and 685 RBIs. |   |
